False doctrine can sometimes be confusing and hard to recognize. Paul addresses this with the Thessalonian church, which was confused about the coming of the Lord. He corrects their thinking and urges them to develop their faith and ability to recognize poor doctrine. We, too, are challenged to develop our discernment and live in anticipation of Christ’s exaltation.
