I’m New- Online visitor’s center
Welcome to Trinity’s online visitors center. We know that a “first-time visit” (especially at a church) can be an anxious experience. We will work hard to ensure that your first visit to Trinity Baptist will be a friendly and enjoyable experience for your whole family. We look forward to sharing inspiring music, Biblical preaching, practical teaching and friendly faces with you in a place where you will feel welcome and encouraged.
We average around 140 people during a Sunday morning worship service. We are a church family of all ages and stages of life, most attending from throughout the north-Indianapolis/Hamilton county area. Our focus as a church family is to be a disciple and make many by worshiping God, reaching Westfield and the world with the gospel, connecting with each other and growing deeper in God’s Word.
What happens before the service?
We’ll be prepared to help in any way possible upon your arrival. There are guest parking spaces reserved just for you outside the main entrance doors. As you enter the building, friendly greeters will take the opportunity to introduce themselves and welcome you in. We’ll show you around the facility and if you have children, direct you to the child-friendly programs that we provide during services.
What are worship services like?
The main focus of our Sunday morning worship service is to worship God. We accomplish this through the traditional, inspiring music of our choir, congregational singing and special music. God’s Word is then practically presented with application to our daily lives. Morning worship services last approximately 60-75 minutes.
At the close of the service, we have a fellowship time with light refreshments to allow us to get to know you a little better. Following this fellowship time, we encourage you to attend a smaller Adult Bible Fellowship class. These fellowship groups allow for sharing of prayer requests and praises as well as a deeper discussion and application of the morning message.
Sound enhancement devices
For those with hearing impairments, Listen® Assisted Listening Devices are available during the worship service. Please ask one of the ushers for assistance.
What should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Trinity Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Trinity Baptist!
Where do my children go?
Trinity Baptist realizes the important opportunity and responsibility of ministering to children during our services. We have fully staffed, secure nurseries for all services. Preschoolers are actively engaged in play while learning about God’s love for them. Children (K-6th grade) have opportunities through Junior Church, Sunday School classes and Wednesday Kids Club to learn more about God. Junior high and high school students will be spiritually encouraged through God’s Word in our youth group. All classrooms and nurseries are within close proximity to the auditorium. No matter the age, we have ministries in place to be a blessing to your children.
Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?
No. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. For our records, we request that you place your completed guest card in the offering plate, but please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
What do I need to bring?
Along with an open heart to hear God’s word, many members and guests find that it’s easier and more fulfilling to participate in Bible study when they have their own copy of the Bible with them during worship so that they can underline or highlight particular verses for later study. You may prefer to bring a notepad and pen or pencil for taking notes.
How do I get connected at Trinity Baptist?
Getting connected with the church family at Trinity Baptist begins with your first visit! Our friendly spirit will be an encouragement, and you will likely begin developing friendships right away! We also encourage guests to stay after the morning worship service for the fellowship time and Adult Bible Fellowships. This will allow us the opportunity to meet you, and through the Adult Bible Fellowships, you will be able to meet others in similar age and life stages.
